Copyright Information and Links
Copyright is an internationally recognized set of laws that protect various rights to the creator of "original works of authorship": literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, etc. This protection is available for both published and unpublished works. We are providing the following links to vital information on copyright:
Copyright Office Basics: Circular 1
Although unpublished and unregistered work is protected from the moment of its creation, full protection is only possible for registered work. The Copyright Office has made registration quick and easy through its online service:

eCO (electronic filing) Frequently Asked Questions
Customarily, the fourth page of a book book is the copyright page. The book designer will designate the page, and some text is fairly standard. The author or publisher must provide the complete text. It may be helpful to look at other copyright pages as models.
Of particluar concern to collage artists is copyright duration. See Copyright Duration or Cornell's Public Domain page: Copyright Duration Table.
